Meet Devon
Devon Rombouts, Owner
Devon Rombouts was born and raised in Strathroy, Ontario, with deep roots in the local agricultural community. He grew up working on his family's poultry farm on Glen Oak — Rombouts Poultry — giving him firsthand experience with the realities of operating and maintaining farm buildings in Southwestern Ontario.
A graduate of Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School in Strathroy, Devon went on to work as a diesel mechanic, building a career around hands-on problem solving, mechanical know-how and doing the job right.
That background carries directly into Romulus Enterprises today. Devon understands that whether it's a poultry barn, workshop, family home or commercial building, proper insulation isn't just about comfort — it can make a real difference in energy efficiency, temperature control and how a building performs year-round.
With local roots, an agricultural upbringing and a practical, hands-on approach, Devon built Romulus Enterprises around something straightforward: provide reliable insulation work, treat people fairly and stand behind the job.
What We Work On
Types of Projects Accepted
Romulus Enterprises takes on a range of project types across agricultural, residential and commercial properties.
Builders & Homeowners: Beware of Insulation Fraud
Widespread insulation shortcuts and fraud cost property owners thousands in higher energy bills, reduced comfort, and building damage. Here is what Devon wants every building owner to look out for.
Common Fraudulent Practices We're Finding:
1. Over-Fluffed Cellulose
Too much air is introduced into the blowing machine during installation. The insulation appears deep on the measuring ruler (e.g. 10"), but packs far less actual material (effective density of only 5"), significantly lowering real thermal performance.
2. Improper Bag Counts
Many attics are left with far fewer bags than manufacturer specifications and building codes demand. Cutting bags is straight-up theft of the energy savings you paid for.
3. False R-Values
When material is fluffed up or bag counts are shorted, your space will not deliver the advertised R-50 or R-60. You end up paying for high thermal resistance you never received.
